Hey, what’s up? It’s been a while. Here are a few things:
It was 102 in the San Fernando Valley the other day.
Look at these awesome Nick Cave mosaics (via Kottke).
Shame on The New York Times opinion section for posting Catharine MacKinnon’s anti-sex worker drivel.
I’m still writing my book.
My favorite used bookstore is in North Hollywood: The Iliad Bookshop. I found a 1913 edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland there with color plates.
I really enjoyed this New Yorker interview with Wes Anderson and can’t wait to see “The French Dispatch.” Wes Anderson does writers. Yes.
I’ve been binge watching “The Walking Dead.” I’ve seen enough episodes that I could probably kill a zombie at this point. My favorite characters are Carol and Michonne. I’d say the first season is the best, and the most horrifying scene of the seasons I’ve watched so far is the one involving cannibalism. Very disturbing stuff. If you’re into zombies, I also recommend “Black Summer” on Netflix.
Words I’ve used to describe what I do as a consultant: fixer, consigliere, Olivia Pope, solve complex problems for high net worth individuals, Wendy Rhoades.
Currently, I’m reading The Luminous Novel by Mario Levrero.
That’s it for now.
